Lippie

Hi there mommies! Today is about LIPPIE day. I will share what lipsticks or lip gloss I have in my makeup kit.

What's inside my bag?

First is my all time favorite BUXOM lip gloss. I literally cannot buy this because it is NOT AVAILABLE in the Philippines. So what I always do is I wait for my Aunt Mitch to buy this for me as a present. Haha! Yeah.. I know what you are thinking. Well, if someone will give you something as amazing as Buxom lip gloss, wouldn’t you use it too?

Photo taken by me, of course, these are mine. haha
Thanks Tita Mitch / Inday for my Buxom lip gloss!

Why do I like this? I like this because the scent is so inviting. It smells like chocolate especially the DOLLY shade. When you apply it on your lips, it may sound weird but it is so minty. It makes your lips extra pouty after a few seconds of applying it. It DOES NOT give me any itch! So, thanks to this lip gloss I can now have a sexy lip in shiny finish.

When did I start using this? I started using this about 2 or 3 years ago. Would I recommend this for allergic prone skin? Yes! Definitely! Because it did not give me allergic reactions so it would possibly work out for you out there too.

How much? I really do not have a clue until I started this article because those were given to me only. It may cost $20 each. That’s Php820 if you are going to convert it into peso at Php41 each dollar. The price is based on buxomcosmetics.com. Wow!

Second is time to share my all time favorite REVLON lipstick which I have been using for 3-4 years now. Well, I do not know what’s up with the REVLON products in some malls here in our town. They give me itch but when my Aunt Menchie bought some for me, I tried it and it did not give me any itch at all. So my favorite is REVLON straight from the US which is 030 Pink Pearl Shade. I use it for daily use.

Photo taken by me, of course, these are mine. haha
Thanks Tita Menchie for the gifts.

Why do I like this? I like this particular color of Revlon because I can use it daily. It does not give me itch. It does not leave black stains on my lips because some Revlon products in our town give me black stains. But this one does not. No itch at all. It’s simple looking. This belongs to Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick collection. Again, I did not buy this here. I just got this from my Aunt because I cannot afford it and I cannot find this shade here in our city.

Price? Basically, I just browsed revlon.com and I cannot find the price. But from amazon it is $6, from CVS pharmacy it is $8.99 and from walmart it is $4.97. So the price in the Philippines if converted must range from Php 203.77 up to Php 368.59. Not bad! But mall price in our city is 150-200 pesos more expensive. Probably because of the shipping fee and all. I don’t know. I don’t work there. I don’t own the mall. Haha! But I love this Pink Pearl shade.

Third to share is my favorite Mary Kay Exotic Mango which I also use as daily use. It is long wearing. At first, I was only using the samplers because I really cannot afford to buy one. But when I was winning challenges from Mary Kay as a consultant, I get FREEBIES. I love FREEBIES. Who doesn’t anyway. It costs Php 860. But this February 22 -29, they are on SALE! 20% lesser on the original price. Ain’t that fabulous!?

Exotic Mango of Mary Kay
Photo: NOT MINE. Taken from the net. This is more clear than my capture.

Why do I like this? I don’t like it. I LOVE EXOTIC MANGO because it is long wearing compared with some other sheer products I used before. I like the smell. It’s not too sweet and it’s not too cosmetic-smelling. It does not give me allergy or makes me sneeze.

Fourth and last, my all time favorite RED Crème lipstick of Mary Kay. I wear red because I do not look good with any pink shade! Too bad. I know. The face I have is not sweet looking that’s why I cannot go with pink so I opted for RED. And this bloody vampire red is the red I love to wear. It is timely. I cannot just go wrong with this. It’s only Php 700.

So these are my Mary Kay favorites:
Red Rouge and Exotic Mango.
And these are my photos and lipsticks.
And that's my portfolio on the background. Haha!

Why do I love this? First, it does not give me allergies. Second, it is long lasting. I only apply once a day and it lasts up to 7-8 hours. If I do retouch and try to remove it at night, good luck for when I wake up the next day, it’s still there! How practical! Third, my customers who bought this RED shade are so happy that they want to order more products from me. They call this “TIPID na LIPSTICK”. Yes, it is TIPID because I had been using this lipstick since last year and it is already February and I still have a lot. Fourth, it looks sexy and does not mess up. Fifth, it does not smell awful!

Remember: COST and WORTH are two different things. There are cheap items but for allergic-prone skin people like me, are you willing to sacrifice your health for cheaper items? Think about it. Medicines are more expensive than these products.

So, I hope you enjoyed reading my article which is full of FREEBIES! Thanks to my Aunt Mitch, Aunt Menchie and Mary Kay, I do not have to buy lipsticks anymore. Haha! But of course, I cannot ask from them all the time, they too have families and priorities. Thanks to my Aunts, I get to experience using these lovely items. Thanks to Mary Kay for my freebies as well. That’s the reason why I always want to reach my quota because the rewards are great!

Quality over Quantity

Quality over Quantity

Before the RJDD Training Feb 11, 2016
At Mary Kay Beauty Center, Davao

In a very timely manner, I have to discuss this very significant thing about “Quality over Quantity”. I just had my RJDD training (in lieu of Mary Kay’s ESTB Training) for me to proceed with RJU or the Red Jacket University training yesterday. There were two speakers who possess two different characters. One of which was Miss Angelie, a very beautiful and energetic mentor of Mary Kay who discussed the first 4 sessions of the whole training and the second speaker Maam Maria Dolores, a very lovely teacher; who by the way doesn’t look old. Both of them were amazing in giving their profound ideas about cosmetics, people, product knowledge and team building. But both of them are way too different from each other. According to one of those trainees who also attended “one is sophisticated and one is simple yet with brutal force in selling techniques.” I salute the Mary Kay team Davao for placing two different people on the same seminar. It has allowed me to widen my horizon when it comes to thinking about products simply because both of them have wonderful point of views. But I am very much in awe when both of them in separate manner taught me “QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.”

From online photo

Is Mary Kay expensive? Both of them asked the trainees. Most of the trainees answered “Well, the clients would tell.” Well, the speakers reiterated the virtue of QUALITY OVER QUANTITY and then the speakers said “NO. It is not expensive.”

Photo from online

Miss Angelie said “It is not expensive.” Then she named more expensive products than that of Mary Kay which I believe others really use, to some point, they use the imitation products. Users of some imitation products do not know the high risk and severity of skin damage after using the products like more led content and all that for a lipstick. But consumers buy them because of the name regardless the thought of the imitating the products.

Miss Maria Dolores said “Di baling ka isa ra sa atoang kinabuhi maka gamit tag mahalun pero sulit man.”

Wear the Mary Kay image. It is not expensive!
It's how you carry yourself that makes you look fab and lovely!

On my first point of view, I have listed some products and noted the price of some pressed powder. Mary Kay’s On The Go mineral powder costs Php 699. But you can absolutely use it for 7 to 8 months if you are not really into powder. The secret key is that, it is mineral so it lasts longer. No need for you to buy and buy and buy. It will cost you Php about 3.34 pesos a day for 7 or 8 months.
However, when you buy 300 pressed powder and the advertisements tell you to use more and more until you buy more and buy more. It is a company strategy on telling you to use more and buy more just to cover up their products’ lapses. Their products cannot possibly contain the longevity that is why you have to put more and buy more. You put more – they cannot promise longevity. You buy more – they earn more, you on the other hand got broke. You will only realize that when you compute 300 pesos for 2 or 3 months. That is likely Php5 a day for 2 months.

Now, which is more practical? The Php5 a day or Php3.34 a day?

"AGE is only a state of mind."
Yes, we are moms. We are both professional and licensed in our professions.
But we took the challenge to age gracefully.
With my Ate Yuri during the training.

On my second point of view, Mary Kay has been helping women. It has lived by its virtue “ONE WOMAN CAN.” Only during the trainings did I learn that ONE WOMAN REALLY CAN! It means, regardless your status in life, you can! It does not prejudge you if you are a woman who works in a salon or parlor, if you are still a student, if you are a housewife, if you did not graduate in college or if you are a battered wife. The company does not care about your background. It cares about how you use your background and do something about it, right now!

A lot of my friends who are already registered nurses and teachers still sell Mary Kay. Why? The question is always “What? Why? You are already well paid off by the government or by your job.” And they would say “No. Mary Kay has helped us more.” Which I believe and I experienced is true. Most of them would answer “Quality jud ang Mary Kay. Lahi ra jud. The longer you use it, the more it helps your skin look younger.” Aren’t we talking about quality now?

On my third point of view, when you see branded shoes like VANS, SKECHERS and a lot more like GUCCI, you immediately save and buy that. Most of the time, you don’t think, you just buy it. Gosh! HAHAHA! Those are really good shoes, good design and good quality. I personally like branded shoes especially those proven and tested which could serve me at least 3 -5 years like GIBI and CELINE Philippines Shoes. I have like 3 pairs of each, that’s one formal, one classy, one on the go kinda thing. But those served me well for 3-5 years each. If I bought one of those pairs for a thousand, that’s a thousand divided by 5 years, the answer is NOT EVEN A CENTAVO, I bet!  Whereas, if you buy a shoe worth Php 250 then after a month or 3 weeks, it’s ruined and you have to buy again and it’s a cycle for a year. That is way too expensive. That’s how they have discussed Mary Kay as well! Which in my belief is a practical way to save money.

ONE WOMAN CAN!

On my fourth and last point of view, goodness! You are one tough woman who carried kids inside your womb for 9 months each child, took care of them or that woman who sent their siblings to school and yet some of them do not even study well with red failing grades and yet you push because you are the “Ulirang Ate”.. Aren’t you worthy of anything amazing like Mary Kay!? Stop the drama and go get that Mary Kay product you like! Go give yourself a little reward! YOU DESERVE IT! At least before you die, you have enjoyed one thing you like!

Your AGE is your business... How you LOOK..is OURS!

Go girl and buy that product you like, be it Lancome, Loreal, Mary Kay, buy it!

That’s what they taught me yesterday!

Forever Orchid

There is a long array of Mary Kay products already. This company is not just about lipstick, although they have started with creams and lip color more than 50 years ago in Dallas, Texas.. But there’s more in their market. Today’s topic is about ORCHID shade, of course inspired by my super close and dear friend Kristine Orario.

NOTE: PHOTO NOT MINE

www.pinterest.com
"when they featured Radiant Orchid"

So my friend Kristine gave me a message showing a link and here’s the link: http://elitedaily.com/life/best-lip-color-for-zodiac-sign/1364813/ She was initially telling me to read her zodiac but I also read mine which was Virgo. And I was amazed on what this article said about my zodiac. It’s all about ORCHID lipstick and orchid shade and Virgos being artistic.. Yeah, that’s true! Hahahaha The article amazingly said that You, my Virgo dear, are one of the most giving signs in the entire Zodiac. While you’re a grounded earth sign, you’re also imaginative and extremely artistic. You Virgos run deep. You’re an emotional well. You are the great artists of the world. You feel the pain, the beauty, and the weight of the world.
Which is precisely why you need a RICH orchid color. Your stone is a Sapphire, so naturally a blueish orchid is the best option. The pink undertones in the orchid color represent your soft side, while the purple represents your undeniable mad creativity.
So, my gorgeous Virgos, get some orchid lipstick, make some awesome art and have some wild sex.”

So, I have researched about Mary Kay products with this shade and boy am I lucky to have found amazing products.. You know, just for fun. And of course to share to you Mary Kay company has to offer.

They have eye shadow in Plum, Iris, Lavender – Fog for individual mineral eye shadows which by the way really stays longer on the eyes. They have my favorite shade in their QUAD collection which is the Autumn and I super love the purple there. I personally love it because I have tried it over and over and over again!

NOTE: This is my personal Mary Kay Autumn Quad
Got this via winning a challenge from my SD.
Take a look that purple there! It's really amazing!

This is me using that QUAD EYE SHADOW in AUTUMN.
Imagine how that MK Liquid Foundation + MK Concealer +
QUAD Autumn + Red Rouge transformed me! Weird! Nyahaha!
Eye Brows : From MAC by the way

They have also featured Mary Kay Crème Lipstick in Apple Berry which is another favorite of mine. It’s so berry and I like the smell. The most amazing part is that, it doesn’t dry the lips. It super lasts longer than I expected it. I thought it would only last for 3 hours or 4 but I tried using that shade so early in the morning like around 7am and I had to do my lips after lunch like around 3 or 4pm. Take note, that’s after lunch and with many sips of water and soda.

Color shade of Purple I had been telling you.

I also would like to suggest Mulberry Forest. This was featured in their Limited Edition section. I tried this and it’s really amazing. The color is like red – purple wine. It does not itch. It smells fantastic. So, it’s good for allergic – prone skin like mine. It’s quite sticky though but I like it that much. Then I remembered that I also gave one for my son and daughter’s nanny. She loves it because she told me that it doesn’t wear off easily.

So, this was me a year ago using that Mulberry Forest - Limited Edition

Limited Edition Mulberry Forest. Really good gloss!
No itch! Smells fine. Really dark. A bit slimy! Bwahahaha!

They also have this Mary Kay Lip Liner in the shade of plum which is really amazing. My coach Miss Jiffrey Ann used that lip liner during our Unit meeting for November when we had our vampire themed meeting. She wore that plum liner and she looks stunning! Not to mention that liner is affordable, lasts longer and does not give you itch nor does it wear off easily. (I have three clients who ordered this because they really love the color.)

This is how Mary Kay Lip Liner in shade of Plum looks like.

They also have Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Jammin’ Berry shade which smells like berry! The actual color is playing around plum, sangria, grape, jam or mulberry shade. It feels slimy. Hahaha! It is a bit glittery but not too much. It is good for teenagers because this jelly lip gloss defines their very sweet and nice characteristic.

in Jammin Berry shade looks like.

I have my own though but got too lazy to take photos!

Mary Kay Forever Orchid perfume is amazing too. Their perfumes really smell great and it is really money’s worth. Once you spray it and dub it all over the places of your body where you like to dub it, it stays there for a quite longer period of time. The scent even stays after your used the perfume on your shirt and you try to dump the shirt on laundry basket. It is that amazing! I remembered giving one forever orchid perfume to someone dear to me for a birthday gift, that’s my mother-in-law. I think it suits her well. She smells lovely all the time!

So, that’s it for now. Next time, I will be sharing some lovely products from Mary Kay! Have fun!

Mary Kay’s Mineral Pressed Powder (On – The – Go)

Mary Kay’s Mineral Pressed Powder (On – The – Go)

My mom's pressed powder.
I cannot put mine, it's hall filled hahaha!

Many women like me love pressed powder. The first thing they would reason is because it makes their faces less oily. Well, as a matter of fact, that’s true. Whatever product you use, it really gives that refreshing look every after powder time.

The good news I would like to share is something that I really love and that is Mary Kay’s Mineral Pressed Powder (On – The – Go).

Before I started using Mary Kay products, I also love one product in the market which is Brand A (Extra – the blue color; starts with M) pressed powder and foundation in one. I had been a user of Brand A since I graduated college until I got my job and got married. However, when I got pregnant, I got oily with Brand A but after pregnancy, it was alright. So, if you like Brand A, go ahead, I also love that and it’s not so expensive. I would not assure you though that it would make you feel better during your pregnancy days. Your body hormones will be totally different than the way they used to be.

I have also tried Brand B and I am so sorry but I got itchy all over my face and behind my ears (you know the feeling when you get drunk and there’s just heat on the part of the face where you put the powder). So I wouldn’t recommend Brand B. I’m sorry for telling the truth. The test is based solely on my skin (3 days use only). So, I stopped using that because I don’t wanna go red all the time. But for those of you who want this, it’s alright because it’s really affordable. But I don’t want to spend on less expensive powders but I get expensive anti – allergy medicines.

I have also tried Brand C (the most famous brand in the Philippines) when I was younger, way back college. Brand C was like “wow” for me because it’s one month to pay basis. So, I loved it. I could not feel whether it was expensive or not, I was still studying, I get the money from my allowance. Oh, but it’s fine for students.

My absolutely "meh" face...
No filter, only wonderful lighting effects of our room!
For no bias treatment:
Face powder: Mary Kay Pressed Powder
Eye Shadow: Combination of some colors of ELF Palette and Mary Kay Quad
Eye Liner: Mary Kay Eye Liner Black
Lipstick: Revlon (because I ran out of Mary Kay's True Dimension EXOTIC MANGO (my favorite)

I had been searching for that one product I could say all wonderful things and I think I found it. Do you know that feeling when you tried several products already but you still keep on finding for “the one” because you are not fully satisfied with the others? That’s the feeling I got with Brand A, B and C. Remember when I said I love Brand A? Well, because I really do because Brand A is fine but I fell in love with Mary Kay’s Mineral Powder because Mary Kay is “THE ONE” for me.

Let me share the benefits:

1)      It’s not cakey!
2)      It minimizes the appearance of lines on my face.
3)      It does not give me extra oil I actually do not need.
4)      It’s mineral – based which means it stays longer on the skin.
5)      It has natural looking finish.
6)      It does not give me PIMPLES! When I have pimples, it’s really “PIMPLES” or acne. So, good thing that MK doesn’t give me that.
7)      It’s on-the-go. You can just put it on your bag and go anywhere with it.
8)      I only bought 1 last September 2015 and it’s been 4 months now and I still have some.
9)      It was expensive before (to be honest because the powder alone was Php 650, the mini compact was Php 699 and the sponge was a different thing) but now, it’s MONEY’S WORTH. It’s only Php 699!!! I can now afford this!

That’s all I want to share for you ladies. Honestly, if you can afford to buy something great, don’t settle for what’s ok. Besides, whatever you put on your face is an additional investment because your face is an investment itself.

NOTE: I am not a beauty expert. I only put what I have experienced from the different powders I have tried through several years. I am just sharing.

Mary Kay CC Cream

Mary Kay CC Cream

Hello mommies and ladies!

PHOTO NOT MINE
www.janemottbeauty.com

I am sharing another favorite product from Mary Kay. Are you excited? Well, I was excited when I first tried this one because it has an amazing result. I am excited even up to now and I will be excited for the next years to come.

Mary Kay CC Cream is one of the Best Sellers of Mary Kay. Why is it one of the BEST SELLERS??? Simply because it has a lot of benefits!!

1)      It PROTECTS. It has SPF 15 that’s why it protects. Our hometown is a very hot and humid area and you do not want sunburn and uneven skin tone, so grab this one!
2)      It BRIGHTENS. It does, really! I can attest to that because I am a user and lover since June 2015.
3)      It CORRECTS with light weight coverage. It corrects the skin color and evens it out. Like my forehead is way too darker and every time I put this, my forehead color matches with my cheek color already. Fab!
4)      It MINIMIZES redness. I have seen 2 of my clients who used this and they had reddish skin type and it lessens the redness on their faces.
5)      It CONCEALS. It really conceals not only for my face but for my clients who are about 63 of them; mom or not; single or not.. It works! I have a portfolio to prove it but you will only see it when you contact me for your facial and skin care.
6)      It HYDRATES. Does it? Yes! Yes it does. In fact, I have soft skin even after using this and my face feels hydrated.
7)      It REDUCES visible signs of ageing. Gosh! It really does!
8)      It DEFENDS. Super defend! Defend skin from ageing process; defend skin from dryness and from the extreme heat of the sun.

She's doing the HALF FACE CHALLENGE HERE.

RIGHT: CC Cream dubs but not yet spread

Nylyn actually won Miss Mary Kay the night after the skin care class.
Nylyn and I during the pageant night.

Seriously, I am a very HARD to please person when it comes to products regarding the face. I am very particular with products that won’t give me ITCH and REDNESS and SWELLING since I am allergic to most of the products in the market. I have seriously tried almost wonderful and cheap products courtesy of my Aunts, Grandma, Cousins and my pocket. Mind you, I buy products here in the Philippines but most of the time, I ask from outside the Philippines so my face won’t get irritated and I won’t give clinics the benefit of buying expensive ANTI ALLERGY MEDICINES. This CC Cream is like AMAZING! It’s only Php 825. I used BB Creams which are over a thousand and made my face very oily! There was this BB Cream which was Php 1200+ and at first it was good but prolonged use made my skin super sticky and oily. So, good bye!

PHOTO NOT MINE

www.ohfishiee.com
(CC Cream comes along in 4 different shades.
But only 2 shades; Very Light and Light-to-Medium are available here in the Philippines.
I hope Mary Kay US would let us use the other two dark shades
because by nature Filipinas are not white,
we are brown-colored women.)

This cream has a pump. That way, it won’t easily mess up. It is very easy to use and your one bottle could reach about 10 months because I still have mine here and it’s still ¼ full.

Can you use it with powder? Yeah! Definitely! Apply powder using putting a little amount on your face.

Can you use it with moisturizer? Absolutely! Apply moisturizer first before putting the CC Cream.

Can you use it at night? Hah! Well, it’s for day time because it acts like a concealer and it has sun protection formula. However, if you would like to put this before your makeup at night for events, you may opt to.

Does it last long? Well, that is subjective. There are different skin types. Mine is oily but it last a long time and lessens the oiliness of my skin. However, if you do not believe me, it’s ok. It’s my review anyway. So, just buy 1 and see for yourself! It wouldn’t be a BEST SELLER for nothing anyway.

The best thing about this product is it comes along with 4 shades, perfectly telling you to LOVE YOUR OWN SKIN. It's GOD - GIVEN. Mary Kay does not push you to use Very Light if you are brown-colored skin person.

I hope you enjoyed my simple review. I am a Mary Kay CC Cream user since June 2015 and I am happy about it!

With CC Cream alone and exotic Mango lipstick

Mary Kay Satin Hands Review

Mary Kay Satin Hand Spa Set

Hi there mommies and single ladies of all ages! Today, I will be introducing a wonderful product from Mary Kay.

When I first started being an Independent Beauty Consultant of Mary Kay last June 2015, they gave me a challenge. The challenge was to purchase a certain amount and the reward was winning the HAND SPA SET. The hand spa set contains Hand Softener, Hand Scrub and Hand Cream and all of those were in the scent peach.

The first thing I did was look for clients who would be ecstatic to order Mary Kay products. The response I got from social media alone was absolutely amazing. Relatives, friends, former co-teachers and classmates were giving me orders I didn’t expect. Some of them were previously Mary Kay users and were not able to find their Consultants anymore for more than 2 years or 1 year and now that I was doing it, they were ordering tons of items.

My own set. Clearly it's been used over and over again
since June 2015 by different clients.

So, I placed the order and I really got the reward. I was so excited to use it. My Consultant and coach Engineer Jiffrey Ann already gave me hand spa treatment a year before I became a consultant but the feeling of having the relaxing moment is quite different. I tried it again and good thing that I wasn’t allergic to it. I have tried many lotions at the market, pharmacy or even malls, no matter how cheap or expensive for as long as I would itch, I would immediately stop using it. And then again, I wasted TOO MUCH money for both cheap and expensive lotions. So I am very happy that I got this hand spa set for FREE and I got a hand spa set which I AM NOT ALLERGIC TO.

There are 3 steps in the hand spa set:

1)      First is to wet your hands or use a dampen cloth to prepare your hands for the creams. Then apply a very small amount of the hand softener. Just rub it on the palm of your hands and sometimes I include the wrist. If you know proper washing technique which is used in the hospitals or any medical practitioners, you may use that technique. You will feel that it softens your hands.
2)      Second is to place the hand scrub (the one with the pump) on your softened hands. Rub it like the way you did on your first step. You could feel every bead on your hands and your palm. It scrubs out the dead skin cells. One of my clients told me, it feels like salt. But it’s wonderful. I couldn’t agree more. Then time to rinse it. Rinse it very well. The problem with some people is that, when they buy expensive products, they tend to let it stay on their skin for a longer period of time and they do not wash it when it’s time to rinse it. That’s one reason your skin would dry. Hand scrubs are also like facial scrubs, you only have to use it once or twice a week to prevent excessive drying of skin.
3)      Third, after rinsing is patting your hands dry. Do not over dry it on the towel. Keep a little moisture then add a little amount of Hand Cream on your hands. Rub it like lotion. The scent is really lovely. And the effect is great!

My own hands
I'm showing the before and after Satin Hands use.
I didn't use anything on my right hand.

In addition to that, you may use Mary Kay Satin Hand Spa set for your feet. It lessens cracks and makes it feel and look smoother like a baby skin. Just like what I did with my feet because I really have an old looking skin.

Benefits: (For buying Mary Kay Satin Hands Spa)
1) Your hands will be soft as satin. I'm using it for 7 months now and I love it. Works for me.

2) Your hands have the chance to have even skin tone; except if you have undergone surgery due to 3rd degree burn. So you can't expect that even skin tone.

3) The scent of Peach is really good. Not too overpowering. Not to light. It's neutral.

4) You may use it for your feet as well. There is a chance for your fee to get that smooth feel and look! Less crack! Just like mine.

5) It's not expensive. It is very very MONEY WISE. Php 2600 for 7 months and there is still more in the containers is like Php 300+ a month of hand spa and foot spa! So if you are going to the spa and spend Php 300 every two weeks, that's Php 600 a month x 7 is Php 4,200 for your feet alone. It doesn't include your hands. So, which is more MONEY WISE now??? You compute! :D

That’s it for now. I will be posting products of Mary Kay which I have tried and love. You may reach me through my business number (083) 552 9081 if you would like to have Mary Kay business here in the Philippines. I would be very much willing to assist you. If you would like to try this SATIN HANDS for FREE, let me know.

Have fun!

Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant

Hi there mommies and beauties!

I’m Jonee Ross. By now, I know that you already know what I usually share on my blog. It’s all about kids, developments of babies or kids, travel and family stuff. I was busy lately that’s why I wasn’t able to post a lot of articles for mommies out there! The good news is, I wasn’t busy with being a LAW student or managing my tutorial business. I am busy with something new and something greater than what I previously did with my life. It’s a business and self-care I wanted to share to every moms and ladies out there, whether young or old. It’s Mary Kay!

Yup! You got it. I had been doing Mary Kay since June of 2015. (It took me 1 year to sign up with Mary Kay because I wanted to be sure about it.) My short “I STORY” is this:

I, most of the time get free lipsticks, makeup and skin care from my Aunts, Cousin Lorren or grandma outside the Philippines, particularly in the US. I’m not so particular with how I look; I was just particular on how to be fit and healthy. I easily get allergic with any cosmetics and most of the time when I buy something and try it just once, I would have my entire lips or skin itchy and ugly cosmetics leave undesirable result.

And I won OUTFIT OF THE DAY!
I got wonderful items!

A person named Jiffrey Ann gave me a message on facebook regarding their products with Mary Kay. We were not close that time although we came from the same high school and the same curriculum. So, I bought a lipstick in their premiere line True Dimension in the shade of Sizzling Red at Php 860 last June of 2014. That’s because I know when I buy not so costly cosmetics; I would end up buying more expensive medicines. For sure, it was a risk not worth doing. Then I tried it and tried it some more, the lipstick was amazing. It didn’t give me any allergies. I like the smell. It’s not as amazing as BUXOM which I really love for many years now but the scent of MARY KAY Sizzling Red was good. Not only did I fell inlove with the product, I also fell inlove with this lady Miss Jiffrey Ann (but I'm straight, just so you know. I have a husband and two kids). I liked her a lot and how she carries herself and all that. She is just an inspiration!

Thanks to our friends at Mabuhay Elementary School for this opportunity
especially to my good friend and classmate Teacher Gretchen Cumayas.

I finally wanted to join this business because I CANNOT SELL what I do not use and what I DO NOT LIKE and I CANNOT SELL WHATEVER THAT GIVES ME ALLERGY. I do not like women to end up buying injections for anti-allergy or medicines for that matter. The business was amazing! I had so many clients I could ever imagine. A lot were re-orders and there were some new clients I really do not know but were referrals. It saved my dying career. It gave me a purpose. It made me someone who would only look into the brighter side of life and be thankful always. The culture is really amazing. The team of Miss Jiffrey Ann does not prejudice or criticize people or women. They help women. They help build each other.

I am very happy to share my change and my newly found skills (doing simple makeup).
So, that's bare me on the left.. After putting some makeup with the aid of Michelle Phan's video,
I created a simple look on the right. Plus the very bright light in the room.
That's one of the favorite lipsticks I was wearing here: Red Rouge

For me, I gained so many benefits because of Mary Kay.

1)      I wasn’t allergic to their lipsticks. I love their True Dimension lipsticks Sizzling Red and Exotic Mango. I love their Crème Lipsticks Apple Berry and Red Rouge. Those were very saleable and our best sellers.
2)      I do not need to ask my relatives for the free cosmetics. I do not when they will be taken away from the picture of life and if that will happen, who will buy something for me?
3)      I was helping my husband financially. My husband got broke big time and Mary Kay was just helping us over and over again. It made me feel great helping our family. I do not when my husband will be taken away from the picture of life so I should always have a backup plan so my kids could go to college and have wonderful jobs and businesses someday. (My dad died when I was 13 years old so I won’t take any chances risking my children’s future just by asking money from my husband.)
4)      I continue sending my cousins in school; that’s fare + tuition monthly + projects.
5)      I could give the needs of my kids and my cousins who are also under my custody.
6)      I gained lots of friends and clients. Not to mention my team members Miss Lislie, Miss Mary Joy and Miss Jenny.
7)      I changed my perception regarding women using makeup.
8)      I realized that more than nail art, I could do art with my face. It is very difficult for me to do makeup that would make me look beautiful so I am on the other side of makeup line.
9)      I changed my perception regarding makeup itself.
10)   And there are a lot more to say… But I will be saving that for the next blogs.

And that’s what I had been doing since June 2015 (a year after I bought my first Mary Kay lipstick). From this day onwards, I would be sharing to you our Mary Kay products and the changes I do with my face when I do crazy makeup.

This is my recent photo (year 2016 of January).

I do tutorial. I do business with Mary Kay.
And I am happy with my changes!
