This picture is all about SOLITARY PLAY. This kind of play for children 0-2 years old is very normal. So, for mommies out there, don’t worry because playing alone is included in the learning process of a child.

They will also learn how to focus in solving simple problems.My son in this picture is transferring balls from one container to the other and whatever he wants to do with that, I really don’t know. However, when he tries to get all balls out of one container and some balls get jammed, he would try to ask me to let it all out. I, then immediately come to the rescue by helping him while teaching him how to do it. He would ask me for like 2 or 3x. After that, he won’t ask for help anymore. He would just get the stuck balls all by himself.
Whether we like it or not, we have to accept that some children really have fun by exploring and sometimes exploring to the extent of hurting themselves without them even knowing that’s not good anymore. Just like my baby, he loves banging himself on sofa. He enjoys doing that. He loves jumping on the bed. However, we really have to be very careful because we don’t want head injuries. Don’t over react as this is typically normal for little explorers… Please take into consideration “Ang batang hindi nakaka jump sa bed ay malamang hindi kumpleto ang childhood experience.” And “walang batang hindi nauuntog sa growing up years.”
Way back in college, I have learned that there are different types of learners. We have logical, linguistic, musical, existentialist, spatial, bodily, intrapersonal, interpersonal and naturalistic learners. We really don’t know yet as to which aspect would our kids would excel ; that’s why it’s very important to let them try everything like dancing, painting, singing and etc. Solitary play would promote intrapersonal growth and development. This means that the child would likely solve problems on his own immediately without asking help from other people often. “Intra-personal intelligence is the capacity to understand oneself and one’s thoughts and feelings, and to use such knowledge in planning and directioning one’s life. Intra-personal intelligence involves not only an appreciation of the self, but also of the human condition. It is evident in psychologist, spiritual leaders, and philosophers. These young adults may be shy. They are very aware of their own feelings and are self-motivated.”

INTERACTIVE learning.. It is one way kids would enjoy playing and learning at the same whenever they are with they're friends or their favorite people..
If adults exchange ideas, they (children) also do that when they baby talk, when they manipulate toys or when they laugh and suddenly stop when moms would look at them. hahaha!
This is also one way for the kids to be exposed with environment. Since environment includes other form of beings.. that could be birds, reptiles, amphibians or mammals and human beings.
Another thing they would learn about playing with others is "how to build their attitude". Yup! That's right.. How kids respond to their playmates or in a particular situation with their friends is the beginning of their attitude building. That's where you would see if they hit someone or hug someone or laugh with them or cry or start a fight.. This is where PARENTING takes place..
